The Lyceum Village Music Department is committed to providing accessible music education and practice support to everyone who has a passion and curiosity for music. Our world-class teachers share their expertise with students of varying ages and wide-ranging musical interests.
The Lyceum Music Department includes:
Proctored Practice: When excellent teaching and guided regular practice are combined, all students can reach a high level of playing so that they can enjoy playing music for a lifetime. At Lyceum, all of our K-8 member students are carefully monitored to ensure they are practicing correctly and motivated consistently by teachers and peers. Young beginners will progress very quickly and (most importantly) discover the joy of music.
Honors Program: For advanced students only, grades 4-12. Honors students will have the opportunity to perform in an annual Honors Recital, Master Class Series, and abs additional performances with faculty. They are also encouraged to enter local and international competitions.
Lyceum Village is the headquarters for the Junior Chamber Music program, which has some of the most renowned music teachers in Southern California. More about JCM.
